Skip it tonight unless you're a serious arthouse film buff hunting for obscure Soviet-era cinema. 'Youth's First Morning' sounds like a worthy historical curiosity about how revolution rippled into forgotten mountain communities, but without any critical consensus to back it up and no clear indication of the director's pedigree, you're taking a real gamble on what could be either a hidden gem or a sluggish period piece.
