If you want a gloriously ridiculous buddy-cop movie where Tom Hardy chews scenery and talks to himself as an alien symbiote, this is your night—it's dumb fun with enough charm to overcome its messy plot. Skip it if you need a coherent story, but watch it if you're in the mood for a weird, goofy action romp that doesn't take itself seriously.

Plot

Investigative journalist Eddie Brock attempts a comeback following a scandal, but accidentally becomes the host of Venom, a violent, super powerful alien symbiote. Soon, he must rely on his newfound powers to protect the world from a shadowy organization looking for a symbiote of their own.
