Skip it. This Kevin James vehicle is a forgettable action-comedy that mistakes a mildly clever premise for actual wit—the fish-out-of-water concept wears thin fast when the execution is this mediocre, and you're better off spending your evening on literally any legitimately funny comedy.

Plot

After a publisher changes a writer's debut novel about a deadly assassin from fiction to nonfiction, the author finds himself thrust into the world of his lead character, and must take on the role of his character for his own survival.
