Skip it—Treasure Planet is a visually inventive but narratively clunky Disney misfire that tries too hard to be cool with its steampunk-space aesthetic and never quite lands the emotional core. Unless you're specifically hunting for underrated animation curiosities or have kids who dig sci-fi adventures, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Plot

When space galleon cabin boy Jim Hawkins discovers a map to an intergalactic "loot of a thousand worlds," a cyborg cook named John Silver teaches him to battle supernovas and space storms on their journey to find treasure.
