Transcendence is a visually slick but philosophically hollow thriller that mistakes big AI concepts for actual depth—Johnny Depp's digital performance is a conceptual gimmick that drains the film of human stakes, and the plot devolves into predictable cat-and-mouse nonsense. You've seen this "technology gone wrong" story done way better elsewhere.

Plot
