✗ SKIP — Not worth it
Titus
1999 · 2h 42m · Drama, History
Skip it unless you're a hardcore Shakespeare devotee or splatter-film completist—Julie Taymor's 1999 adaptation is visually audacious but brutally uncompromising, turning the Bard's goriest revenge tragedy into a grueling endurance test of mutilation and despair that makes most modern horror look quaint. If you want tragic Shakespeare, go with Macbeth or Hamlet; if you want transgressive spectacle, there are better uses of your night.
