Skip it. This redemption-through-legal-drama setup has been done to death, and 'The Trials of Cate McCall' never quite justifies why you should care about this particular variation—it's competent but forgettable, and you've got better options in the legal thriller space.

Plot

In order to be reinstated to the bar and recover custody of her daughter, a hotshot lawyer, now in recovery and on probation, must take on the appeal of a woman wrongfully convicted of murder.
