The Surrender
2025 · 1h 35m · Drama, Horror
Skip it. 'The Surrender' sounds like it's trying to blend intimate family drama with supernatural horror, but the premise—hiring a stranger to resurrect your dead husband—tips toward gimmicky rather than genuinely unsettling. Without critical backing or a recognizable creative team behind it, this feels like a half-baked concept that probably fumbles the tonal balance between grief and scares.
Plot
A fraught mother-daughter relationship is put to a terrifying test when the family patriarch dies, and the grieving mother hires a mysterious stranger to bring her husband back from the dead.
