The Room Below

2026 · 1h 40m · Horror, Thriller, Mystery

Skip it. The premise of a grieving mother replacing her dead son with another child while harboring a creature sounds like it's trying way too hard to be provocative, and without any critical support or cast names to anchor your trust, this feels like a low-budget thriller that's more exploitative than genuinely unsettling.

Plot

After losing her son to cancer, a grieving mother living with a mysterious creature in her home befriends another boy to replace her dead son. But when a retired detective begins investigating the child's disappearance, her carefully constructed world starts to unravel.

Director: Kurt Martin

Cast: Alyssa Sutherland, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Goran D. Kleut, Lauren Grimson, Gilbert Bradman
