IMDb 6.9

Skip it. While the personal triumph-over-adversity angle has merit, a 6.9 IMDb score signals this doc doesn't quite nail either the adventure spectacle or the emotional payoff it's reaching for. Unless you're a hardcore kayaking enthusiast or documentary completist, your evening hours are better spent elsewhere.

Plot

Legendary kayaker Scott Lindgren attempts to complete an extreme, unprecedented whitewater expedition 20-years-in-the-making. When a brain tumor derails his goals, he sinks into the darkness of his own trauma only to discover that healing, like any expedition, is not a destination but a journey.
