Skip it. Ryan Murphy's adaptation is well-intentioned but clumsy—the Broadway stars overshadow the actual lesbian leads, turning their story into a vehicle for celebrity charity. It preaches when it should listen, and the tonal whiplash between broad comedy and genuine stakes makes the whole thing feel hollow.

Plot

After the PTA of a conservative high school in Indiana bans same-sex couples from attending the annual prom, a gang of flamboyant Broadway stars try to boost their image by showing up to support two lesbian students.
