Skip it. 'The Nut Job' is a forgettable animated heist comedy that underwhelmed audiences and critics alike when it hit theaters—it's basically 'Ocean's Eleven' but for kids with zero of the charm. Unless you're desperately searching for background noise for very young children, there are infinitely better family animations worth your time tonight.

Plot

Surly, a curmudgeon, independent squirrel is banished from his park and forced to survive in the city. Lucky for him, he stumbles on the one thing that may be able to save his life, and the rest of park community, as they gear up for winter - Maury's Nut Store.
