The Mouse
2001 · 0h 58m · Drama
Watch it tonight if you're in the mood for something intimate and introspective—this is a clever allegory about empathy and humanity wrapped in a deceptively simple premise that could hit surprisingly hard. Skip it if you need something entertaining or plot-driven; this slow-burn character study demands patience and contemplation, not popcorn.
Plot
Hiding out in an abandoned house, a wanted fugitive obsessively hunts down a mouse stealing his meager food. But after capturing the creature, he sees his own hunted, fearful existence reflected in it—sparking a bond that forces him to re-evaluate his life on the run.
