Skip it—this sounds like it's reaching for poignant indie drama but lands in murky, uncomfortable territory instead. A widowed fisherman nursing a 'hideous' mermaid back to health has all the makings of awkward fantasy melodrama without a clear reason to care.

Plot

An isolated and widowed fisherman discovers a hideous and frail mermaid in his nets and decides to nurse her back to health.
