Skip it. This sequel to a cult indie darling trades philosophical intrigue for contrived melodrama—aging immortals and existential threats sound weighty, but the execution rarely justifies the premise. Without critical validation and a plot that feels stretched thinner than its 14,000-year-old protagonist, there are better ways to spend your evening.

Plot

14,000-year-old "Man from Earth" John Oldman, now teaching in northern California, realizes that not only is he finally starting to age, but four students have discovered his deepest secret, putting his life in grave danger and potentially destroying the world's most popular religion.
