Skip it unless you've got kids glued to the couch—this is a by-the-numbers LEGO cash-grab with a thin high school angst subplot that doesn't land for anyone over 10. The premise of ninjas by night, awkward teens by day had potential, but the execution is aggressively forgettable.

Plot

Six young ninjas are tasked with defending their island home of Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors using their skill and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy....high school.
