Skip it unless you're a serious documentary enthusiast or Japanese cinema scholar. While the concept of exploring journalism through a real reporter's life has merit, the hybrid approach of reenactments with an actor portraying the subject feels muddled, and without critical consensus to guide you, there are better documentaries demanding your attention tonight.

Plot

An exploration of the nature of journalism that focuses on Fukuoka Nichi Nichi newspaper reporter Kikutake Sunao, with reenactments of scenes from his life, in which he is portrayed by the actor Mikuni Rentaro.
