Skip it. 'The Informers' is a meandering ensemble piece that mistakes emptiness for depth—it's all surface-level decadence with no real insight into its hollow characters. Even with a solid cast, this adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's work feels like a soulless trudge through 1980s excess without the payoff.

Plot

A collection of intersecting short stories set in early 1980s Los Angeles, depicts a week in the lives of an assortment of socially alienated, mainly well-off characters who numb their sense of emptiness with casual sex, violence, and drugs.
