Skip it unless you're deep into experimental video art—this is a niche meditation on Chinese history masquerading as a music video, not the kind of thing to throw on for a casual night in. If you want challenging, conceptual cinema, seek it out intentionally; if you want to actually enjoy yourself tonight, pick something else.

Plot

In this music video, which operates as a meditation on contemporary Chinese history, Yau Ching combines found images and text to negotiate between idealism and propaganda and the hopes and disillusionment that they bring.
