Skip it. 'The Ice Road' is a by-the-numbers survival thriller that squanders an intriguing premise with a paint-by-numbers script and Liam Neeson on autopilot. Unless you're desperate for ambient frozen tundra visuals, you've seen this rescue mission formula executed far better elsewhere.

Plot

After a remote diamond mine collapses in far northern Canada, an ice road driver must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners.
