Skip it tonight — this TV movie adaptation lacks the cinematic grandeur and emotional depth that Hugo's masterpiece demands, and without critical scores to vouch for it, there's no reason to gamble your evening on a likely middling retelling when you could stream the superior 1939 or 1996 versions instead.

Plot

Based on Victor Hugo's famed novel, the story of Quasimodo, the deformed bell ringer of Notre Dame, and his unrequited love for the gypsy girl, Esmeralda.
