Skip it—unless you're a die-hard Godfather completist. Part III is the messy, bloated finale that even Francis Ford Coppola has disowned, dragging Michael's story into tedium with a wooden lead performance from his son Sofia and none of the narrative fire that made the first two films immortal.

Plot

In the midst of trying to legitimize his business dealings in 1979 New York and Italy, aging mafia don, Michael Corleone seeks forgiveness for his sins while taking a young protege under his wing.
