The Gate

1987 · 1h 26m · Horror, Fantasy

If you're in the mood for campy 80s horror that doesn't take itself too seriously, The Gate is a fun ride—tiny demons terrorizing suburban kids hits that sweet spot between spooky and silly. Skip it if you want genuine scares, but watch it if you want creature-feature nostalgia with practical effects and pure B-movie charm.

Plot

Three young children accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard. What follows is a classic battle between good and evil as the three kids struggle to overcome a nightmarish hell that is literally taking over the Earth.
