'The Family Plan' is a paint-by-numbers action-comedy that trades on the tired premise of a secret agent's past ruining suburban life—think 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' but with less charm and more cringe family hijinks. Unless you're desperate for harmless background noise, there are better ways to spend your evening.

Plot

Dan Morgan is many things: a devoted husband, a loving father, a celebrated car salesman. He's also a former assassin. And when his past catches up to his present, he's forced to take his unsuspecting family on a road trip unlike any other.
