Skip it unless you're in the mood for slow-burn domestic dysfunction. 'The Door in the Floor' is a competent but forgettable adaptation that takes a compelling premise—a love triangle wrapped in artistic jealousy and grief—and drains it of urgency. Jeff Daniels and Jon Foster do fine work, but the film moves like molasses through familiar territory.
