Skip it unless you're a completist for '90s melodramas—this Ulu Grosbard-directed Michelle Pfeiffer vehicle tackles a genuinely compelling premise (missing child reunites with family) but gets bogged down in overwrought emotional manipulation and feels dated even by its 1999 standards.

Plot

A three-year-old boy disappears during his mother's high school reunion. Nine years later, by chance, he turns up in the town in which the family has just relocated.
