Skip it. This Stephen King adaptation (directed by George A. Romero) has an intriguing premise about a writer's dark alter ego coming to life, but it's a slow-burn '90s horror-thriller that doesn't quite nail either the scares or the psychological tension. Unless you're a completist working through King's filmography, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Plot

Following the public's realization that Thad Beaumont and George Stark are one and the same, the former stages a mock funeral, only for a series of gruesome murders to begin occurring as in his books.
