Skip it unless you're a die-hard Vin Diesel fan or completionist about the Riddick franchise. This sequel trades the claustrophobic noir vibe of the original for bloated sci-fi spectacle that doesn't quite land, and it's aged poorly in both effects and storytelling.

Plot

After years of outrunning ruthless bounty hunters, escaped convict Riddick suddenly finds himself caught between opposing forces in a fight for the future of the human race.
