✗ SKIP — Not worth it
The Alamo
2004 · 2h 17m · History, War, Drama
Skip it tonight unless you're a hardcore history buff—this is a competent but conventional retelling of the Alamo siege that doesn't bring anything fresh to a well-worn story. The 2004 version exists in the shadow of better war dramas and lacks the cinematic punch to make this particular stand-off feel urgent.
Plot
Based on the 1836 standoff between a group of Texan and Tejano men, led by Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, and Mexican dictator Santa Anna's forces at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.
Director: John Lee Hancock
