Dark Fate is a legacy sequel that tries to course-correct the franchise but lands somewhere between pointless and forgettable—it's got the action beats down but lacks the innovation or heart that made the original Terminators matter. Unless you're a completist who needs to see every entry, you're better off rewatching T2 instead.

Plot

Decades after Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah Connor teams up with an unexpected ally and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet.
