Skip it. 'Taps' is a forgettable 1981 drama that mistakes military melodrama for profundity—watching cadets throw a tantrum about their academy's closure isn't the compelling character study it thinks it is. Even with a young Sean Penn in the cast, this one hasn't aged well and there are far better options for your evening.

Plot

Military cadets take extreme measures to ensure the future of their academy when its existence is threatened by local condo developers.
