Skip it. Taken 2 is a lazy cash grab that retreads the first film's formula without the novelty or tension—Mills gets captured in the exact same city, and the whole thing feels like a cynical studio play rather than a story worth telling. If you haven't seen the original, watch that instead; if you have, there's nothing here that justifies another trip.

Plot

In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.
