Skip it. Zack Snyder's fever dream is all style and zero substance—gorgeous visuals can't mask the hollow plot, problematic framing of its premise, and paper-thin characters. Unless you're specifically hunting for trippy action sequences with no emotional payoff, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Plot

A young woman, institutionalized by her abusive stepfather, retreats into a vivid fantasy world where she envisions a plan to escape. Gathering a group of fellow inmates, she embarks on a quest to collect five mystical items, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.
