Skip it. 'Stop-Loss' is a well-intentioned but heavy-handed Iraq War drama that mistakes earnestness for impact—Ryan Phillippe isn't magnetic enough to carry the emotional weight, and the film's anger at military policy never quite crystallizes into something genuinely gripping or memorable.
