Skip this one. Even by late-80s action-comedy standards, this Sylvester Stallone vehicle is legendarily terrible—a painfully unfunny premise that mistakes a meddling mom for comedy gold and wastes its premise in a forgettable mess of cringe. Unless you're specifically hunting for "so bad it's funny" nostalgia, there are infinitely better ways to spend your evening.

Plot

A tough police sergeant's mother comes to visit him, and promptly starts trying to fix up his life, much to his embarrassment. For his birthday she buys him a machine gun out of the back of a van, and begins to further interfere with his job and love life, eventually helping him with a case he's on.
