Skip it unless you're a die-hard anime fan or have kids who need visual spectacle. The Wachowskis' live-action Speed Racer is a chaotic, neon-soaked mess that mistakes frenetic energy for actual storytelling—even its most devoted defenders admit it's more exhausting than entertaining.

Plot

Speed Racer is a young and brilliant racing driver. When corruption in the racing leagues costs his brother his life, Speed must team up with the police and the mysterious Racer X to bring an end to the corruption and criminal activities.
