Despite a premise that's genuinely intriguing—a tortured warrior grappling with redemption while fighting supernatural evil—Solomon Kane is a flawed, visually murky adaptation that never quite justifies its own existence. The 2009 film has faded into obscurity for good reason, and there are far better sword-and-sorcery adventures waiting for you tonight.

Plot

A nomadic 16th century warrior, condemned to hell for his brutal past, seeks redemption by renouncing violence, but finds some things are worth burning for as he fights to free a young Puritan woman from the grip of evil.
