This is a beautifully crafted Western with a fresh romantic core and genuine weirdness—a Scottish teenager chasing love across the frontier paired with a morally grey gunslinger is the kind of original premise that rewards viewers willing to embrace slow-burn storytelling. Director John Maclean's debut is visually stunning and emotionally layered, a gem that proves Westerns can be poetic without losing their edge.
