Skip it. 'Semper Fi' tackles a weighty subject, but this 2019 war drama got lost in the shuffle for good reason—it's a heavy-handed treatment of prisoner abuse that doesn't bring fresh insight or compelling storytelling to justify the grim subject matter. Watch something like 'The Report' or 'Spotlight' instead if you want moral reckoning done right.

Plot

During a young soldier's first trip to the Middle-East he becomes embroiled in the abuse of prisoners of war.
