Skip it unless you're a die-hard Saw completist. By the fifth installment, the franchise was running on fumes—convoluted plotting and diminishing returns on the torture-porn gimmick make this a slog even for horror fans.

Plot

Following Jigsaw's grisly demise, Detective Mark Hoffman is commended as a hero, but Agent Strahm is suspicious, and delves into Hoffman's past. Meanwhile, another group of people are put through a series of gruesome tests.
