Skip it tonight unless you've got kids who are die-hard SpongeBob fans. This spin-off feels like a cash-grab premise (literally scooping up an entire ocean floor?), and even the charm of Sandy Cheeks can't save what sounds like a recycled plot serving the same old silliness.

When Bikini Bottom is scooped from the ocean, scientific squirrel Sandy Cheeks and her pal SpongeBob SquarePants saddle up for Texas to save their town.
