Skip this one. With a 4.9 IMDb rating, Rocketship X-M is a creaky 1950s B-movie that hasn't aged well—clunky dialogue, cardboard sets, and that Mars civilization twist can't save it from being a slog. Unless you're a devoted sci-fi camp enthusiast, your time is better spent elsewhere.

Plot

Astronauts blast off to explore the moon on Rocketship X-M or "Rocketship eXploration Moon". A spacecraft malfunction and some fuel miscalculations cause them to end up landing on Mars. On Mars, evidence of a once powerful civilization is found. The scientists determine that an atomic war destroyed most of the Martians. Those that survived reverted to a caveman like existence.
