Skip it tonight—this 2005 Dreamworks flick is a forgettable assembly line of robot puns and corporate moralizing that hasn't aged well. Even with a decent voice cast, the formulaic underdog plot and heavy-handed messaging make it feel more like a corporate pitch than genuine family entertainment.

Plot

Rodney Copperbottom is a young robot inventor who dreams of making the world a better place, until the evil Ratchet takes over Bigweld Industries. Now, Rodney's dreams – and those of his friends – are in danger of becoming obsolete.
