Skip it. 'Rise of the Zombies' is a straight-to-DVD zombie flick with a recycled premise (trapped survivors, overrun city) and zero originality to justify your time. Unless you're desperate for brainless undead action and have exhausted every other option, there are far better zombie movies out there.

Plot

When zombies overrun San Francisco, a desperate group survives by locking themselves inside Alcatraz Prison. When the undead breach the island, our heroes are forced to return to the mainland overrun with the undead.
