Red Dawn is a clunky Cold War relic that doesn't quite nail either the action or the drama—the middling scores tell you everything you need to know. Skip it unless you're specifically hunting for campy '80s nostalgia, because there are way better ways to spend your evening.

Plot

It is the dawn of World War III. In mid-western America, a group of teenagers band together to defend their town—and their country—from invading Soviet forces.
