Watch it tonight if you've seen the first two films—this is a mind-bending, emotionally devastating conclusion that deconstructs its own magical girl mythology with stunning animation and genuinely shocking twists. Skip it if you're new to Madoka Magica; you'll be completely lost, and it demands the emotional investment of the previous films to hit hard.

Plot

Following Madoka's rewriting of the universe, sacrificing herself and her happy normal days to save all magical girls from the cruel fate that awaited them by wiping witches out of existence, the despair still manifest into creatures known as nightmares.
