Polina is a visually stunning dive into artistic ambition and self-discovery that critics loved more than audiences—which tells you this is a challenging, divisive film. If you're in the mood for beautiful cinematography and a character study about following your passion (even when it's messy), absolutely watch it; if you want a crowd-pleaser, save it for another night.
