Skip it. 'Nightborn' has all the ingredients for effective folk horror—isolated Finnish setting, paranoid isolation, body horror implications—but the film itself has barely registered culturally and languishes without any critical support to justify a blind watch. Unless you're a completionist for Scandinavian horror, your time is better spent on the genre classics that inspired this.

Plot

In Finnish forest, Saga and her husband Jon embark on a new chapter as parents. But Saga's joy is overshadowed by a chilling suspicion about their newborn, unbeknownst to Jon, causing a rift as she alone grapples with the disturbing truth.
