Skip it unless you've got restless kids who've already worn out the first two films. This third installment leans heavily on nostalgia and globe-trotting spectacle to mask a formulaic plot, and even Ben Stiller's charm can't quite save the diminishing returns of a franchise that's already said what it needed to say.

Plot

When the magic powers of The Tablet of Ahkmenrah begin to die out, Larry Daley spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.
