Watch it tonight. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with serious credibility (Ken Loach directing, Peter Mullan in a career-best role), and the scores back it up—it's the real deal, not just prestige-bait. If you want something raw and human that'll stick with you, this is your movie.

Plot

Two thirtysomethings, unemployed former alcoholic Joe and community health worker Sarah, start a romantic relationship in one of the toughest Glasgow neighbourhoods.
